So, I work at a supermarket, namely "WEIS MARKETS" (where freshness matters...>__>; ) and they're tight asses about things like...appearance. Well, my hair at the moment is a lovely bright red, and though it may be bright, it is still a rather natural color. It's nothing crazy like fire red or something like that because I know that I would get into trouble for something like that. So I decided to go with this color (though it is drastically brighter from the first time I dyed it because my sister added a larger amount than usual of 40% peroxide to it...xD)

Anyways... So I was told two weeks ago that I had to either take it out completely or dull it down. Both of those options didn't sit very well with me, so instead I devised a plan (a rather cunning one, might I add) to just cover up the red (quite literally). The last time I got my hair cut, I got it VERY layered, so there are shorter pieces in the immediate back, top section of my hair. I pulled that over my bangs to hide all of the red in it and pulled my hair back in a very low bun to hide all of the red underneath. Unfortunately, I have two very large chunks of red on the side of my head that are over top of my natural hair color. This posed a problem because there really was no way to cover it up... So instead, Mindy cut pieces of her old wig up and made me extensions...xDDDD

Worked pretty well too. No one noticed a thing. (= w =) b ~~♥

.:: Man on his Chariot! ::.

This morning, Mindy and I walked to school with Daryl. (Funny story, actually... She met me at my apartment on the 2nd floor and we decided to take the stairwell down to the lobby since it's much faster than the elevator, especially in the morning. We flung open the door leading to the first floor and accidentally hit Daryl on his scooter! I felt so bad, but he just laughed and joked about us almost killing him.) This doesn't normally happen, but he's a fun person to converse with on the two-block walk to school, I've concluded.

I really want a scooter now...xD He was swerving and weaving in and out of pillars and trash cans and everything. He also took out his ruler and started smacking trees as he drove past them...xD (Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures of this, but trust me, it was hilarious.) Mindy was also telling me that she has a scooter back home that she used to ride around the block. I wish I had a chariot... D:

.:: Old Wig ::.

Last night, I reminded Mindy that I needed to make hair extensions with her old wig, my reason being that I need to cover up the large chunks of red streaks in the front of my hair. (I am seriously unhappy with my current situation at work concerning my hair color, due to the fact that my hair color is a more natural shade of red and that many, if not most, of my customers have either said nothing at all or that they like the color. I'm talkin' 80 year-old grandmothers, by the way...)

So Kelly, being Kelly, decided she wanted to try the wig on (Mindy was saying, "Uhm...it's kind of dirty. I don't know how long it's been there." xD) and looked scarily amazing in it. I swear, if someone didn't know who she was and saw her in this picture, they would more than likely believe that that was her hair type and length (when in fact she has very short curly hair with blonde highlights in the very front).

I think she looks awesome, personally... > U < ~~ ♥ (Grow your hair out, Kelly! xD )

.:: Lunch at School ::.

Here are pictures of a few of my friends at luuuunch~~ I was having the leftover eggplant omelets. They're actually very good warmed up in the microwave because they were extra soft. Anyways, from top to left to right... Dade, Kelly (with a very funny face, might I add...), Mindy and Mary. ^__^

It was actually a successful dinner and everyone liked my dish! I'm always afraid that my dish is going to fail and that no one is going to like it... I think I'm just paranoid about giving people new things to try. I know for a fact that not everyone is going to like the things that I like, but it still scares me if there's a chance that someone won't like it at all... D:

Anyways... Class was relatively...not good. I have a bunch of battle wounds on my right hand, hahaha. But it's because we were working with wire sculptures. (Pictures should be up next week!) But at least I got it finished and I think I was faily successful. > U <;

.:: EGGPLANT OF DOOM ::.

This is the mammoth eggplant from GIANT that Adam bought me to make dinner with. It was THREE effing pounds...O___O;;;;;

Biggest eggplant I'd ever seen... It was almost as big as the chopping board... xD

I was playing video games after I got up with Adam. It was my first time playing Samba de Amigo and Sonic and Mario at the Olympics... I did so terrible... = A ='''' But I still had fun and that's what counts, right? :D

.:: Waffle House Adventure! ::.

(After a ton of grief attempting lining the pictures up...)

Here are pictures from our Waffle House Adventure! (Members included in this adventure were Banana, Mindy, Adam and myself...) After looking at a few galleries, we decided to go to Waffle House from some dinneeeer...and man was it good. But there was this poor waitress that was having a really bad day there. She was really nice and continually apologized for stuff though so it was all good. I for the "All Star Special" which consists of two eggs, hash browns (or grits), two slices of toast, a waffle and two pieces of sausage (or three pieces of bacon). You can see how much it was in the bottom right-hand picture...

The top two pictures are of Jessy and Adam and Banana by herself... :B ♥

.:: The Night is Young ::.

I took this picture of the sunset on Mindy and Kelly's balcony (on the 7th floor). I just like the colors in the sky at the time and all of the lights. It's a shame it's not a bigger city with gigantic sky scrapers... (*sighs* I miss Boston...)

Oh and it was also First Friday tonight (around here, it's (obviously) the first Friday of every month in which galleries, restaurants and shops stay open later). It's just a night of art and food! Also there are unfortunately a large amount of toursists... It's a pain in the ass to drive around here (or even walk for that matter) because of the drastic increase in people... > A <;;; Oh well. It's a nice time to be with my friends! ♥

Good morning, journal. ^__^ I took this picture while lying on the couch at around 12 (Lawl, I slept in today because I don't have Friday classes!) I just like the way the sun shined through the little gaps in the curtains...

.:: Opening Statements ::.

This is me. I decided a long while ago I wanted to start some sort of online picture journal to keep people updated and just share pictures with my friends (and in some ways keep my sanity). A long story short, I'm 19, a foundation art student at Pennsylvania College of Art and Design and I'm seriously happy (thus far) with the improvements in my artwork. I've been playing the cello since I was four and I sincerely miss it at the moment... (poor Monty~ ; A ; )
